Accept cookies and we can measure how Animunda is used to make it better. Until you choose, we only count anonymous page views, signups and completed tasks — no cookies, nothing stored on your device, no identifier that can follow you between visits, and never the content of your tasks. Choose "Only necessary" and even that stops.

Privacy

Animunda is made by Pixygon. This page describes what we collect and why, in plain language.

Your account and your garden

If you create an account you use a Pixygon account (email address, username, password). What you keep in Animunda — your tasks, your creatures, and your progress — is stored on Pixygon’s servers so it syncs across your devices. It is yours. We do not sell it, we do not share it with advertisers, and other people see only what you deliberately share, such as adding a friend or sending a quest.

Payments — Cores and subscriptions — are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Measurement before you answer the cookie banner

Until you answer the cookie banner, Animunda runs a deliberately minimal, anonymous measurement so we can see whether the site is used at all. It is cookie-free. Specifically, it:

  • stores nothing on your device — no cookies, no localStorage, no sessionStorage;
  • uses no persistent identifier. A random session id exists only in memory for the current page load and is thrown away when you leave — it cannot recognise you on a later visit or on any other site;
  • records no user id, no device fingerprint, no advertising id, and no campaign (UTM) parameters;
  • records the page path you are on and, if you arrived from a link, only the host name of the referring site — never the full referring address;
  • counts product milestones as anonymous totals — signing up, completing a task, hatching a first creature, starting a subscription, and which sign-up button was pressed. Nothing about what your tasks say is ever included, and nothing attached identifies you.

That is the whole of it: page views and counters, aggregated. Because nothing is written to or read from your device and no personal data is processed, this needs no consent — but you can still switch it off by choosing “Only necessary” on the banner.

If you accept cookies

Accepting enables our full analytics: an identifier stored in your browser so visits can be stitched into sessions and returning visitors recognised, page timings and performance data, clicks, error reports, campaign parameters, and — if you are signed in — your user id. It also enables Google Analytics page views. The anonymous basic measurement above stops the moment full analytics starts; the two never run together.

Analytics data is processed by Pixygon on our own servers. Animunda carries no third-party advertising and no ad trackers.

If you decline

Choosing “Only necessary” turns off both full analytics and the anonymous basic measurement. Animunda then sends no measurement events of any kind. We remember that choice in your browser’s local storage — that single value is the only thing stored.

Change your mind

Your current choice: not answered — anonymous, cookie-free measurement only.

Your rights and contact

You can ask for a copy of your data or have your account and everything in it deleted. Write to [email protected] and we will handle it. You can also export your task data yourself from Settings.
